Russia has donated a new mobile laboratory for diagnosingEbola and other viruses to scientists at the Pasteur Institute in Guinea on Friday, February 12, 2016.
The laboratory is part of the project financed by Rusal, Russian aluminum producer.
The Russian aluminum company invested $10 million to build and equip a microbiological research center and medical treatment in Kindia, Western Guinea
A new 100% effective Ebola drug has been presented to WHOby Russian minister of Health, Veronika Skvortsova.
The Ebola fever outbreak began in December of 2013, spreading from Guinea to neighboring Liberia and Sierra Leone. The epidemic claimed the lives of over 11,000 people in these three countries, with 28,000 infected with the virus.
