‘Kidnapped’ Nephew Of Former President Jonathan Found Dead

BayelsaA nephew of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Samuel Okies, has been found dead in the waterway of Otuoke Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Late Mr Okies, 35, was reportedly kidnapped few days ago alongside the 72-year old foster father to Jonathan, Mr Inegite Nitabai.
Channels Television gathered that some Fishermen from the former President’s community in Otuoke, on Friday during fishing recovered the body of his nephew floating on Otuoke River, two days after his abduction was reported.
According to indigenes of the Community, though many were not aware of his whereabouts during the abduction of the foster father to the former President, the discovery of his body in the Rivers, however, confirmed their fears.
Some community members claimed the sound of gunshot heard during the abduction of the octogenarian may have been targeted at the deceased.
The discovery has also created an atmosphere of fear in the community over the safety of the octogenarian.
Mr Nitabai had been kidnapped earlier in the week by unknown gunmen in the Otuoke Community of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The abduction was the second time he would be kidnapped by gunmen in the state.
